I had this Donald Duck comic when I was a kid.  In one of the stories Scrooge McDuck bought up all the a certain coin from some year and dumped them all in the oceans figuring to keep just one, he'd have the most valuable coin in the world.  So what if I bought all 30 of them Skaggs models and then smashed everyone except one to bits.  Do you think the last one left would become super valuable?

Scott and I have been quietly musing--a thread on the subject of Gibson marketing AND Ricky Skaggs all at the same time. It's kind of like a party with plentiful alcohol and lots of illegal fireworks.

I trust everyone will struggle to behave, but it only takes one or two to spoil it for the bunch.

Did anyone watch the Gibson holiday video?
Sam Bush's break smokes Ricky Skagg's.  I find myself really agreeing with that drunk old bluegrass guy about Skaggs.

where does one view this gibson holiday video? i went to the gibson site, but couldn't find it. i did find the contest for that les paul jr. thought.

Too bad they had to use the Scruggs boys.  weak guitar solo and the electric bass does zero for me.  Plus, , the tempo should be way quicker IMO- it's supposed to be a BLUEGRASS Christmas.  That tempo is just kinda loping along.
