Hey, how about that recently locked down AeroJoe F9 thread?  Thought it was rather hinky that the GC CEO Marty Albertson chimed in.  

I am positive that someone googled the CEO's name and did a quick sign up.

I could care less how many F9's Joe purchased and flipped on e-bay.   The overlords staring at yet another G-bash locked it down pretty quickly.  Note to self, always know what side you bread is buttered on.

Asian Flatirons really have me thinking that G-co is really just scatter shooting without really knowing what they are aiming at.  Take one look at Weber and how many different production models they have, why G-co can't compete on a level playing field is beyond me.  I suppose the cost of doing business in Logan, MT rather than Nashvegas makes all the difference in the world.

Carbon Fiber a models for $3500, damn, I like Peter but these things need to be coming in at about half that price or they are going the same way as 'The Rigel'.  Of course they could always rely and old Jazzy fingers to hype the carbon fiber life style.   Yep, that should do the trick..

1. AeroJoe needs to learn about paragraphs.  I didn't read the whole thing tooo hahd onn thhe eyyess.

2. I believe in free enterprise, If AeroJoe can buy something and sell it for me.  So be it.  

2a. If GC and other dealers are losing money carrying brand G, tough nooggies.  See point 2.

3.  I didn't see anything particularly offensive about the thread.  Ya' know it wouldn't have been shut down here (although I respect the admin's right to run his forum his way and I still go there too).

4.  I'd love a carbon fiber mando if they were affordable.  I do lots of ski trips; it would be great to have a mando that could go from -5F in my car to a motel room with 2% humidity without turning into kindling.  But, it would have to be in the $1k range, not the 3.5K range.

5. Flatirons from China?  Makes sense from G's point of view.  The big stringed instrument maker (G, F, etc.) have their high-end stuff under their name low end imports under names like Squ and Epi.  So they bought the name Flatiron name.  No one will think it's the same company from MT or TN.  Would I buy one?  Seriously doubt and if I did, I would do so with the understanding that the name on the headstock might as well be Saga.

It seems to me that if they were worried about Gibson, they would have locked the Flatiron thread.

I can see AeroJoe wanting to work the system.  I can see the cafe not wanting the reputation as the source for that type of info.

Of all the threads I've seen locked there, this one bothers me very little.

What I don't really understand is why AeroJoe was bragging out all of it.  If he figured out a racket, why not just stay mum and milk it.  Obviously he's not the player (in the deal sense, not music sense) he thinks he is.
