I do think they are wicked cool but I'd have to have ton's of $$$$ first before I'd buy one at $3.5K.

I wonder if they could ever ramp up volume enough to get these things cheaper?

Really does not do a lot as far as appearance.  However, if it sounds good and they brought the price down to <$1000.  I could see it moving as an alternate to wood.

I saw an carbon fiber guitar at a jam that looked just like that.  Like a solid resin with a weave in it.  I thought it was cool and a very different way than I think a nice piece of maple and spruce is cool.  As a 2nd or 3rd mando I would consider one if I could afford.  If I had $5-10K to blow on a killer F, then sure, I'd by a MAD too.
