It's totally beat to $h!t. Basically, it's destroyed. There's no neck. Ugly as heck.

If I were some rich dude who wanted to blow $30-40K, I could see dumping it on a really nice 50s Strat that was both aesthetically pleasing and playable but to pay that for a what is essentially a piece of garbage is just stupid in my book, even if it is a famous someone's piece of garbage.

I think kvk means that at the present time, it is unplayable. Therefore not worth the money. $30-40k for a collectors piece is a little steep for me. However, I'm sure you could bolt another neck on and hopefully Jimi left a little mojo with the guitar body.

Sure owned by someone famous makes something more valuable but don't you think it should have some value already. A nice antique car is worth a lot, it if was driven by Errol Flynn, it's worth a super lot. A nice antique guitar is worth a lot; if it's playable by someone famous, it's worth a super lot.

But, if someone famous threw out a piece of garbage, I'm just saying that I wouldn't want it.

Like I said, I'd by one of the '57 Strats for $27K first. That's all.
