I've been playing a lot more lately too (one reason I haven't been around). I'm playing in a "band" with some folks on Sunday nights and going to jams on every Wednesdays and most Saturdays. I've been having a great time. Playing in a "band" is great because you really work more on specific songs and think about arrangements and such. Anyway, our first playing out event is coming up in the form of an open mic. |

Yeah, i had a regular group I was practicing with for a while and it really helps your playing. I split for the winter to ski and they found a new mando so what the heck. The nice thing about a regular thing is you can practice the same thing over and over to improve which tends not to go over well at jams; also you can experiment a bit in a smaller setting. Kind wish I could get a pick-up band type thing going. Found one or two people in my area but we would need another one or two for critical mass. Good luck with the band. | |||

I unfortunately went into the "non-playing" phase this winter. Now that it has warmed up, I've been pulling 13-15 hour days. By the time I get home, showered, and eat; I'm just too tired to want to play. |
