I spent pretty much the entire winter working on about three songs. Working out breaks and trying to sing a little bit. Now that I have more time to play, I figure I should devote some brain cells to technique.
I started up with NH's Bluegrass Up the Neck. It's a nice easy book to work with a position playing with lots of little drills. The only downside is the drills are like little "jingles" and they go around in a circle of 5ths so they never end. Ever hear a jingle like from a TV ad and it sticks in your head and drives you crazy; it's kinda like that. I have 'da-da-da-da da-da dah dah' running around in my head all day.
