Youze and yerz, ya'll have a safe and happy 4th.  

Just one day in the middle of the week fer me so not much going on.  Headed over a local friend's house for dinner tonight; and to watch the fireworks which are visible from the yard.  Tomorrow we're havin' an early BBQ of six racks of babybacks and 1/2 dozen friends coming over.  Gotta get to bed early cuz Thursday's back to work and the kid's gotta be rested to go to day camp all day.

Ditto on a safe 4th!

This 4th, I'll be heading to the mountains for a church picnic and do some jamming with the church string band. It is suppose to get to a record high tomorrow, around 118*F, so the mountains will be a nice cool retreat.

I'll be home with the dogs in the evening, the wife and her visting friend are heading to the Mandalay Bay to see Pat Benatar in concert. The fireworks will drive the dogs wild, so I need to stay home to keep them from tearing up the house. Also, I really didn't want to rub elbows with the great unwash on the strip.
