Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New  Year.  If you'll be traveling for the holiday, I hope your travels are safe and (as stress free as possible.

I'll try and get back here before the new year, but hope and pray that everyone has a great, happy holiday week with friends and family.

We're not traveling this year.  11 days off of work in a row!!! Ski a few days and spend a lot of time working around the house.  Need to rebuild the built-in wall unit for the HT speakers and new TV.  

My wife and I are traveling from Frederick, MD to Johnstown, PA (and back) to visit with my family.  Not really far, but still travel involved.

happy new year folks.. just returned to work from my longest vacation in 7 years.. a full 14 days..
the wife ordered me a violin for christmas (hasn't come yet) lookin forward to the battle with that!

Good luck with the fiddle.  I always been temped to try one but deep down I know I won't have enough time to practice.

I had 11 days off and got a lot done early in the week but vegged out a lot at the end.  I didn't practice mando but maybe 20 minutes.  I've come to the conclusion that you can't make any progress when other people are around.  Either the kid or the wife is watching TV or the kid wants you to play a game or you have to clean up after dinner or something comes up.  With less free time, I may actually get to play more as with school back in session, my kid will be going to bed at 8:00 again.

thanks.. i took a bit of a break from the mando with a really sore finger, and was slowly getting back to it.. i think i "pushed" through the pain a little too much and it kind of freaked me out when my ring finger stopped working... seems ok now though.. and i already watched some of the fiddle lessons on musicmoose, i'm really lookin forward to getting my new toy

I get really busy when ski season starts and the with the holidays, the mando didn't come out of the case for about a month, even with being home a lot.  But, I actually practiced 20 minutes yesterday and 10 minutes before work this morning.
