Watched this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhLBSLLIhUs&feature=related After watching this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCbFEgFajGU I know for a fact that companies are pushing the very edges of legality to save money on salaries they'd be paying to US workers already here. Raise the H1B cap and my and all my colleague's existing salaries are just doing to go down. Hillary is just a big freakin' sell out. I think I dislike here as much as Romney now.

Romney looked real bad in last nights debate........I'm throwing in with Huckabee. --Last edited by TX Dale on 2007-11-29 20:47:47 -- |

I caught the last 5-10 minutes of last nights debate. I did not hear Hucklebee. I'm actually liking Ron Paul. Mitt & Rudy can play playground bullies all they want. They actually look more and more like the a$$es they are. |

I read Huckabee's issues page and also some of Ron Paul's. I don't agree with either on everything but think they both have some good ideas. I'm not so dogmatic that I can't see some light in the opinions people who might not be like me. Huckebee's a musician so he can't be all bad. He supports arts, the environment, is a fiscal conservative. All good in my book. I differ a bit on abortion. I'm not pro-abortion, especially being the father of an adoptive child. But, I'm also not for the federal government interfering in people's lives. I do not want a federal anti-abortion amendment. It might hurt to say it but I would accept Roe v Wade being overturned if it might each state could decide for itself. Provided there would be 100% guarantee of no penalties in any state if abortion had to be done for medical reasons. In some countries with strict anti-abortion laws, women have died from things like ectopic pregnancy because doctors are afraid of anti-abortion laws. I also don't agree with a federal marriage amendment. I consider civil marriage just a legal contract, not a moral thing, so I don't see why it is such a big issue. If would be fine with me if civil marriage were abolished and replaced with civil unions. Then people wouldn't have a hang up over the word. The piece of paper any two people get a city hall is a civil union contract and the stuff you do in church is marriage. Simple and it solves the problem for both sides. Sometimes I think position means less than capability. I'd rather have a capable conservative or a capable liberal I disagreed with on some issues if they good do a good job in general. I think both approaches can work if done effectively but are bad if done ineffectively, and trying ride both horse is worse that riding one well. Right now I'm liking Obama more than Hillary on the Dem side. Not sure about the Rep side. --Last edited by kvk on 2007-11-30 09:26:26 --

I've watched several extended interviews with Huckabee & was VERY impressed with the guy. Ron Paul may be a fellow Texan......but he's a little much ( looks & sounds like a pussy) & does not stand a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected. I will not vote for ANY candidate from the northeast (or northwest for that matter) & will not vote FOR any encumbant on the national level. Washington is totally gridlocked & dysfunctional........Time to send them home to earn an "honest" living. Obama is impressive (and articulate).......but I can't vote for a Dem....... Although I did vote for a Dem for Texas Governer. |

I also like Ron Paul. I too will not vote for a Dem for President. Locally, I might consider a Dem if the candidate is a conservative dem and the opposing Rep is a RINO (Rep in name only). We have a few around here. --Last edited by gnelson651 on 2007-11-30 18:48:23 --

I don't get the attitude. I'd vote for a Dem or a Rep or a southerner or northern or white, or black, or green, or purple candidate if I thought they could do the best job. Right now I feel like punishing the Reps for 8 years of el dorko head W but when the final candidates are in, if I like the Rep best, I vote for him/her and if I like the Dem best, I'll vote for the Dem.

Man, I see a lot of myself in all your posts (with a little twist). 1-I'm actually looking at voting the incumbents out (Dale). However,if the incumbent is better than the opposing candidate, then the incumbent will get my vote. This does not mean if the incumbent is giving pork barrel projects to my district, he'll get my vote. If the incumbent is doing a good job then he/she will get my vote. 2-Marriage Ammendment. Does not even need to be an issue. Marriage is a religious term and should remain a religious term. I like kvk's idea of the marriage license being "renamed" to civil union. I'll being doing some research on Hucklebee here in the near future. |

Go Mike Go! I did something I have NEVER done in my life, I contributed to a political campaign. Granted, it was a small contribution.......but I threw a little Mike's way...............Now if we can just run Congress off there may be a glimmer of hope. |

With the quality of the candidates running right now, I'm thinking about running myself. My platform will be: "I DID sleep with that woman!", and "Yes, I did inhale!". Plus, I live in the southeast, so maybe Dale will vote for me. --Last edited by rosett on 2007-12-12 13:19:08 --

http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2007/12/13/contrary_to_pundits_not_everybody_loves_huckabee/ Op/Ed on Hucksterbee. Of course it's in a NE rag so it's only godless liberal propaganda penned by one of Ted Kennedy's 16yo concubines. :-) :-) :-) I'm in the mood to joke around today. We're getting a foot of snow so I'm getting out early from work early today and I'm taking tomorrow off so right now might as well be 3:30PM on a Friday afternoon. Happy Early Weekend All!!!!

Everytime I see Romney on the tube I cringe, same with Rudy. I'm really enjoying watching Huckabee take the lead despite the media's best efforts. |

I'd consider Huckster if he wasn't such a moral weenie-head. It was the Christian Wrong that got us into the whole mess with W. Bush and it's those people that Huckster is pitching to. That's a big red flag in my book. --Last edited by kvk on 2007-12-20 08:56:36 --

I think your falling for the media's spin on Huckabee, it's the liberal media & Romney that have turned this into a "religious" event. I'm not surprised that Huckabee will have problems in the ultra liberal godless Northeast. He is currently ahead in the polls even in California. I'm sure that makes the Pelosi gang nervous. |

Well I do admit that Romney is scary that Huckleberry.

The latest on Mittster the Flipster. When he was in Mass, he pushed for stricter clean air standards. He's campaigning in Michigan now and he is pushing for lower full-economy standards for automobiles. --Last edited by kvk on 2008-01-15 08:55:08 --
